When I started blogging?
So it was the summer after I just passed out of my school and had a lot of free time. I started mindlessly scrolling YouTube and became familiar to blogging.
Yet I didn’t have any idea about getting started so I apparently wasted one year in coding school.
Yes, coding is no doubt a good skill to learn but it don’t align with what I had to do back then.
What I did ?
I bought in total of 5 domains till date and to be honest none of them is successful. I first created a website in which I had to manually write each article along with html code and upload entire site to domain directory again and again.
Then I got familiar with WordPress because blogger was not an advanced option and was very limiting.
What domains do I own at the moment ?
⁃ Luckyysabnani.com
⁃ Rationalconsumer.in
I had several other domains in past like
- ⁃ anuncensoredguy.Com
- ⁃ Themarchboy.Com
- ⁃ Lifestylebylucky.com
Why did I fail in blogging ?
There were two main reasons for my failure back in the days :
1. Less awareness – I was not aware about malware and other things have to be taken care of while using a cms. I used to edit the basic code files of WordPress too much to make them work as I wanted.
2. Less patience – I wanted quick growth like I couldn’t wait for mango season to come and ripe the fruit. I wanted to eat that fruit off the season.
What is my goal now ?
Be slow and steady – I’ve realised that you need to slow down to think about exact directions where your life and your business is going. You can not just run with a set track.
You need to have a goal in order to achieve. Aimless running will just make you tired soon.
Create a second source of income – Income how much we earn is always going to fall short but as it’s said don’t put your all eggs in one basket. I’m trying my best and creating multiple sources so that if one egg rots other ones are safe and can keep my life on track.
Profit and loss ?
So till now it’s obviously a loss making scene because I’ve been learning things by doing them.
Every year a set amount is deducted towards hosting and domain renewal. The internet access and stuff.
So basically till now it’s just I’m investing my money and my time to make it work.
Do I have any Plans to monetize my content ?
Yes, of course I’ve made plans to monetise it by the medium of Adsense or any reliable ad network.
Which I don’t have at the present moment.
For now I’m working with a few affiliate partners like hostinger and Amazon associates trying to make a dime.
Have I ever qualified for any of these ?
At the present moment I’m qualified for Amazon associates and hostinger affiliate. As far as Adsense is concerned I’m trying my best to generate enough traffic to get approved on Adsense.
Conclusion –
Blogging is not as glamourised as it is being presented. The thing is it needs upfront work like any other business to consistently update the end consumer with latest information.
You can do blogging for interest in beginning because if it’s done for money since start I am not sure if it’s gonna work. Because at the end of the day, you need to google or bing to show your blog when someone enters any search term.
If you’re writing just for money, you gonna end up sounding like a salesman and lot of people who can connect with you as a human will loose touch.
Therefore in initial days write to connect and once you are established the money is how so ever going to flow in.
