Recently I’ve noticed a lot of people tempted to buy followers and other vanity matrix for every social media platform they are present on. There could be several reasons for them to do which are but obvious to guess. In this article we will decode why people should or should not buy any of those services. And also we will be discovering legit ways to grow.
Buy followers for short term benefits and long term loses :
In short term, you will gain a certain level of popularity after buying followers that you can at least flex in front of your classmates. But when it comes to long term social media goals you are at a great loss and I’ll tell you why.
In long term when you have suppose 10k followers but your engagement count is 1-2%. They Instagram will get a message that the content you post seems to be less interesting so it will down-vote you in feed.
Average engagement count for a good social media account must be around 8-10% consistently.
Severe impacts on your social media accounts :
Once any social media platform / any company which is about to sponsor you, will check the behavioral pattern of your followers/consumers. It will become questionable for them to give you any deals. In some cases, you might be lucky that they give you deal on basis of number of followers but that will happen once in a blue moon.
In some cases, social media platform may ban your reach and hinder your account severely, i.e. IG shadow ban.
Legit ways to grow : 4 strategies.
Strategy #1 : $1.80 by Garyvee.
So a famous social media marketer Garyvee says, “Drop your valuable comment worth 2 cents on 90 posts in a day “. Above that he says the comment should be positive, motivational or questionable and not always sarcasm. This feels too much typical because you can not keep track record of how many comments you have made.
Strategy #2 : Build community.
See in your niche / category find similar accounts as your and engage with them and their followers to build a community where you can answer their question or teach them something that you know. If you provide value, you’ll get at least 10% back in terms of engagement.
Strategy #3 : Consistent content delivery.
It doesn’t matter, if you post once a day, once a week or even once every month. What matters is consistent quality of content. Many people in greed to produce a lot, end up producing a lot of rubbish non worthy content. If your consumers is spending 5-10 seconds on your post, it should not feel like waste of time.
Strategy #4 : Everyone on social media is for info-tainment.
People are willing to learn new stuff, discover new places and things but at same time they want to be entertained. No matter how good quality of content you make, if it is not entertaining, no one will consume it.
