Happy Dussehra 2022 .
Here’s an interesting story for everybody reading this. Once upon a time when I was in senior secondary, a kid from probably 5-6th standard asked me why Ravan wadh is done every year? Is it impossible to kill Ravan at once like Shri Ram did a long time ago ?
I had no answer for him that day, but today I feel I have one.
As we all know, Ravan was a shiv devotee and had various accomplishments in his life. Only wrong he did was Sita mata’s kidnapping. But at same time he was gentle enough to not touch Sita mata without her acceptance. Although he was punished a long time ago, why do we yet punish him every year ?
What I personally feel, it has become a sort of ritual of Ravan Wadh only to demonstrate the victory of good over evil.
Instead what should be done this Dussehra is to take a pledge to kill at least one bad habit in ourselves. Ideally the Ram and Ravan both lie in same person in kalyug, it depends on you whom you allow to over power your subconscious.
The Ram :-
- Seeks moral decisions.
- Don’t harm un-necessarily.
- Humble.
The Ravan :-
- Egoistic.
- Don’t feel anybody comparable to him/her.
- Believes in achieving things by hook/crook.
Evaluate yourself and check Wether you are Ram or Ravan.
Once again Happy Dussehra!
